Cuba Work

The JSP has for the last 11 years been operating an extension school in Cuba.

Luis Pedraza, a Cuban Christian, (who studied in Kingston, Jamaica at the JSP for 4 1/4 years 1992-1997) began this work and did a great job "teaching faithful men who will be able to teach others also"

Over 120 Cuban Christians have graduated from the programme. Brother Pedraza no longer direst this programme but God bless him for his contribution to the growth of the Church in Cuba. Between 1991 and 2009 the number of Churches in Cuba grew from 6 to 140-200. We Praise and thank the Lord.

Today 30 students are enrolled in the JSP Extension School in Cuba.

We recently received a note from one of the newly appointed Directors;/Teachers of the JSP Extension School in Cuba. His note reads as follows:

Hi Kiddoe, Thanks to the Lord for your encouragement towards me,

I continue to teach the classes every Monday night. Now we are studying the Old Testament, and we also began a course in Genesis.

My students feel very excited with the classes and they prepare their speeches dealing on the chapters we have discussed. Then the rest of the students asked them any questions about it. As you may realize I like practical classes, which make possible each student to learn from
others. Taking into consideration that now we are studying the Old Testament, the lack of ink has´ not been an obstacle to our work. We just use our Bibles and some Study Bibles.

The course is working!

Please remember that we need CD's featuring Christian studies; and study Bibles. Plus we need a white board.

God Bless,
Javier

Brethren please pray for the work in Cuba.
